At Health Centered Dentistry we practice what we refer to as “Whole Person Dentistry.” An approach to dentistry that promotes health and wellness instead of only treating “dis”ease.
Whole Person Dentistry observes and deals with the mind, body, and spirit of the patient, not just his or her “Teeth.” This approach to dentistry encompasses both modern science and knowledge drawn from the world’s great traditions in natural healing.
The basic principles of a Whole Person based practice are:
- Earliest Possible Prevention and Treatment of Dental Malocclusion (bite problems = physical imbalance)
- Avoidance and Elimination of Toxins From Dental Materials
- Establishing proper TMJ function, including correct Cranial Balance of the Head, Neck, and Jaws
- Proper Nutrition for the Prevention and Reversal of Degenerative Dental Disease
